Leah's growing and changing so much these days, it seems like she learning something new everyday. I thought I'd take a moment to record a few of her newest things.
We're working on the shape sorter, it's still a little rough, but she gets the idea and I can point to where it does and she'll try to put it in and with a little maneuvering, she can usually get it.
She loves to "brush" her teeth, she usually just chews on the toothbrush. She not big on letting me brush her teeth, so I'll take the chewing on the toothbrush. I just tell myself, at least we're establishing good habits, hopefully she'll get the brushing down sometime.
We're working on using a fork and spoon. Yes, I realize peas aren't the easiest to have a toddler practice using a spoon on, but it was what was on the menu. She does pretty good if I load the spoon for her, I'm still not brave enough to give her the entire bowl of oatmeal (or whatever she's eating).
I think she has this one covered, it's called making a mess. Some days my kitchen floor ends up looking like this during dinnertime. I usually forgo the mess and focus on dinner, whatever keeps her occupied for a few minutes.
No she's not learning to use a rolling pin, but she sure thinks it's fun to play with.
She's also learning she likes to dig through my purse and I'm learning to put it in a Leah safe place.
She's mastered the slide as well, she can climb right up it and slide down. Now, if we could just get her to sit and not stand on it.
I can't wait to see what's next on the learning list!
