I think I'm pretty much over winter. I'm ready to not have to wear a coat and to be able to spend more time playing outside. Leah and I have been trying to brave the coldish temperature and take advantage of the nice days that come along.
Anytime that the sun is shining (even if the temperature it too cold), Leah asks to play chalk and bubbles.
We're ready for the spring weather!

Meeting Baby Brynn
After lunch at McDonald's with Trent, we headed to the hospital to meet Trent's new sister, Brynn Josephine Glaenzer.
This is how Leah spent part of her time at the hospital. Whatever works.
Leah wanted to see and hold baby Brynn.
Brynn cried a little bit while we were there and Leah wanted to give her Pursley to comfort her.
Welcome to the Family Baby Brynn, Leah can't wait to play with you!
Congrats Dan, Sally, and Big Brother Trent!

Big Brother Watch
A couple of Sundays ago, Superbowl Sunday to be exact, we started our morning off bright and early with a special visitor, and the Big Brother watch, began. Trent came over Sunday morning, while his parents went to the hospital to have this new baby brother or sister. Tim and I had been brainstorming all week about what we were going to do with him, we wanted the day to be special, but we were having trouble coming up with things to do on a Sunday. Since it was a Sunday, everything opened at 11:00 and we decided that didn't give us much time, when he had to be at the hospital around 1:00.
Luckily, the weather helped us out and it snowed that morning, so first thing we did was play in the snow. This was Leah's first time playing in the snow and I think she liked it, but she got cold really quick. I think she enjoys our indoor snowball fights better.
After, warming up and drying off, we headed to the mall to make a special friend for Trent's new baby brother/ sister. We decided to help him create a Build-A-Bear that he could give to the new baby. Trent settled on a dog and named him Dave.

After, Build-A-Bear and the mall, we headed to McDonald's for lunch. Our first choice was Chick-fil-a, but being that they're closed on Sunday, we were out of luck.
We had a little bit of time to kill, so we also spent some time at their playplace.
Sorry for the blurry photo, I just thought it was too cute.
Stay tuned for part 2... Meeting Baby
Valentine's Day Pictures
In true Jody fashion, I was a little late in getting Leah's Valentine's together. I decided I wanted to use my new-found photoshop skills and create a card myself. On the way to the library, we decided to stop at the park for a few pictures. Leah was wearing her "pretty dress", so she was game for a few pictures.
I love her pose in this picture.
I was trying different ways to get her to pose, told her to kiss the tree and this is what she came up with.
These were the cards I created for her Valentine's, I ended up printing them from Walgreens in the 1 hour photo and I was less than impressed with the coloring, but the pictures were still cute.
I'll also be taking advantage of mpix.com and their 50% off deal to get some prints made.
