Easter Egg Hunt

In order to avoid the big crowd at last year's Easter egg hunt, our playgroup had their own hunt. Each of the kids brought 15 eggs to hide and the adults hid the eggs while the kids played. Most of the kids are 3 and under, so it was the perfect number of eggs and length for their attention spans.
We ended the party with cupcakes, juice, and jumping in a bounce house.
We're so thankful for new found friends and their kids!

More Snow Fun!

Leah and I took advantage of the snow and the snow day from school and played outside. The only way I was able to get Leah outside was to bribe her with "painting" and playing on the swing set. For our "painting" I filled a few squeeze bottles with colored water and let her pour it on the snow. She wasn't too interested in painting the snow and I think the neighbor kids had more with it than she did.

Spring Break Salina Edition

After our stop in Kansas City, we headed to my parents house for the rest of the week. On Sunday my mom got us tickets to Disney on Ice in Wichita. We went with my mom, Natalie, Emily, Stacia, Stacia's mom, Sue, and her niece, Callie. All the girls loved the show and sat surprisingly still, I'm not sure if it was the show or the popcorn they were sharing.
The rest of the week was spent at my parents house playing outside, seeing baby calves, eating ice cream cones, and making a trip to Manhattan.
My camera didn't make it out of the bag, so all I have are a few phone pictures.

Spring Break Kansas City Edition

Last week Leah and I traveled to Kansas for our "spring break". We left Friday afternoon and stayed the night in Kansas City with Dara and Kinsley (and Todd too!) Saturday morning we headed to Fritz's in Shawnee for an early lunch. The food at Fritz's is just your normal diner food, but it's special because a train delivers your food. Kinsley and Leah loved the train and made the choo choo sound every time someone's food was delivered. After lunch at Fritz's, we headed to the Legends for a little shopping. I miss the Legends like crazy and tend to go a little overboard whenever I go back. I found a cute dress to wear to a Gamma Phi conference in April, so I was happy. After a little shopping we headed to Salina for the night.

We also stayed with Dara, Todd, and Kinsley on the way home too. While we were in Kansas City, we were also able to see Rebecca and Krissondra. Since Leah and I were traveling by ourselves, it was so nice to be able to break up the drive. Thanks Bennett's for letting us stay with you!

Snow Fun

After waiting all winter for some winter weather, we finally received some, on the first weekend of spring!  We've had winter weather a couple of other times, but it's mostly been sleet, not much snow.  

We took full advantage of the good wet snow and built a snowman.

 All bundled up and ready to go. 

 Even Pursley made the trip outside to help with the snowman.  Don't worry, Pursley had on his dress to keep him warm. 

Originally Leah told me his name was Cottontail, or something along those lines, but I asked her today and his name was Frosty.  Regardless of his name, it still turned out better than the last time I tried to build a snowman with Daisy and she broke my hand! (Snowman pictured here)
