Horse Riding Fun

One of Leah and Ella's favorite things to do on the farm is ride the horses.
So this year when they asked to ride and my dad kindly obliged,
 they were all smiles.
I also decided horse riding might be a good occasion to break out my nicer camera.
Enjoy the non-phone pictures.

Even Annie enjoys her time on the farm.

We were to THANKFUL for a trip to Kansas for Thanksgiving and the nice weather while we were there, even if it did get cut short from the Blizzard of 2018.

Snow Day, Fun Day

An early November snow allowed us our first day off of school and a few hours (!) of playing in the snow.
School was called off the night before, which I thought was pretty early considering it hadn't really started snowing yet, but I'll take it because it meant a little sleeping in!
These two were SO excited to bundle up and head outside.
The temperatures were right around 32, so it made playing in the snow bearable, even with our mismatched snow clothes.
Snow Angels are Leah's favorite! ;)

Maybe not a favorite of Ella's, but she gave it a go!

I even had "helpers" to shovel the driveway and walk.

By the time we finished shoveling the driveway and attempted a snowman, our neighbors were outside and ready for some sledding fun.

Snow days are such a gift!
And a note to myself to stock up on carrots (and snowman gear) next time the forecast calls for snow and we make a grocery store run for the traditional milk, bread, and eggs!
