The Cutest Little Leahbug!

Happy Halloween!
Love,
Leahbug

Phew!

October has been a BUSY month! While it is one of my favorite months of they year, this October seemed even busier than last October, I didn't we could top last October with moving and a baby, but I think we did. Between postseason baseball, Leah's birthday, my birthday, Tim being gone for a week, and a non-working refrigerator, our month ended up being pretty busy.  I've got lots of posts to catch up on, but for now, I'll leave you with a Halloween card from Leah!  Happy Halloween!

Stop and Smell the Flowers

I took Leah outside yesterday to get some fallish pictures with our mums and pumpkin.  While we were out there I taught her how to smell the flowers and these were the pictures I got as a result.  At one point I thought she was going to eat the flowers, but she never did.

Don't worry, her birthday party pictures are coming soon!

O-N-E

Here are Leah's one year pictures, I just couldn't wait any longer!

Leah holding a picture of herself the day we brought her home from the hospital.  I'm hoping to take one like this every year.  Next year she'll be holding the picture above.

I know she's not smiling in this one, but I just think it's so cute!

She's Really Moving Now!

Leah hit another major milestone this week, just in time for her first birthday!

She's been taking a few steps for a while now, but Saturday she just stood up and took four or five steps in a row.  Since then she's gotten even better, it's amazing how quickly they learn!

Just to Compare...

Here is a picture I took of Leah on our first outing:
If I remember right we went to Sonic and to the post office, so she never even left the car.
And here is a picture I took Sunday, almost 12 months later.

The Countdown is On!

The countdown to Leah's birthday has begun.  Well it's actually been going for sometime now, but since it's officially one week to her birthday, we'll start it.  I thought I'd share a few more of the pictures we took yesterday.  I'm torn between wanting to share all of the pictures and wanting to keep them a surprise until I have them printed to give away!
Enjoy!

A Sneak Peak and A Conversation

We took Leah's one year pictures today and I thought I'd give you all a sneak peek.  I think they turned out so cute and I can't wait to edit them and get them printed!  I'm hoping to have them back in time for her party.

During the photo shoot, Leah and Fredbird stopped to talk strategy for the Cardinals' Postseason games.

Stay tuned for more pictures of our soon-to-be ONE year old!

October 2nd

Since our first trip to the zoo wasn't exactly what I would call enjoyable, I have been wanting to make a return trip.  I decided that since last Sunday was my birthday, and I got to pick how I wanted to spend the day, I decided on the zoo.  The weather was gorgeous and we could not have asked for a better day, quite the opposite of last time!  I love the St. Louis Zoo, not only is it free, it's very nice and well maintained.  I am hoping we can make it back one more time before it turns too cold.
This was as close as I got to a group shot, Jim, Robyn, Sally, Trent, and Debbie checking out the Hippos.
 Meet Kenzi
This is the zoo's newest attraction, a baby elephant.  Kenzi is three months old and just made her zoo debut a few weeks ago.  Seeing her was well worth the trip.

I included this picture to show how little she looks, but little she isn't, she weighs 400 pounds!
Trent and Robyn on the carousel
Leah and I stopped for some pictures

After the zoo we headed home for lunch and to change into our Cardinal clothes.

Leah's hair is finally getting long enough for bows.  I was able to distract her long enough to get some pictures of her with a bow in her hair.
What a wonderful day!  Turns out turning 30 isn't so bad, if everyday is like Sunday.
The Cardinals even gave me a nice gift in the form of a post-season win!
