It's Beginning to Look a lot like...

Christmas!

I used to get annoyed with the stores putting their Christmas stuff out so early, but I've recently found a few reasons I'm glad stores are putting their Christmas stuff out early.

1.  Hershey's Peppermint Kisses-  I found these last year, so when I found them in the stores again this year I had to buy a bag (or two).  I'm hoping to make these brownies again.

2. Candy Cane Oreos-I love Oreos and chocolate and mint, so when I saw these Oreos I knew I had to try them and they didn't disappoint.

3. Chex Mix Muddy Buddies-  This is the store-made version of Puppy Chow.  I love puppy chow, but hate to make it because it makes such a mess, finally the good people at Chex Mix found a solution.

I'm glad all of these items are "Limited Edition", they might not fit with my diet come January.

4. The last reason I can't wait for Christmas-  I get to dress this little cutie

Finishing Touches

Last week we (with the help of my mom) put some finishing touches on Leah's room.  We had a little trouble hanging the cards and failed miserably the first time, but one trip to Hobby Lobby later and we had it figured out.
In addition to hanging the cards, we also hung these shelves.
Leah's name in blocks was my touch, I'm guessing you can figure out who spelled out St. Louis.

And because I've been such a bad blogger, here are some pictures of Leah...

Leah also had a couple of firsts...
This was her first trip to visit her St. Louis doctor.
This picture was taken right after she peed all over the table, not sure what that says about her new doctor.

Leah also had her first real bath.
She liked the bath, just not the getting out part and I can't blame her, I hate getting out of the bath too!

Leah's Room

Leah is excited she finally has a real bed!

Leah was lucky enough to have her Grandpa Jim make her bed and dresser, and they turned out amazing!

Leah's dresser, the shelves still need some organization, much like everything else in our new house!
 Sleeping Beauty
We are still working on using the swaddling blanket.  This is only the third time we've used it, I haven't really gotten the hang of it yet and I'm not sure what Leah thinks of it.
Fredbird always has a watchful eye on Leah.
The border at the top of the Leah's room, has troubled me since we bought the house, but I think we are planning on putting these cards in it.

Leah spends most of her time sleeping these days.

Finally...

After almost two months of living apart, my family is finally back together.  While not all of our things are here, we are and that's the important thing.  On Saturday, we loaded the necessities we would need for the week and headed to St. Louis.  On Friday we're heading back to Kansas to get the rest of our stuff.  Here is where we're "camping out" this week.

This is what our living room currently looks like.  Hopefully after next week we'll have our furniture.
Our dining room table for the week.
Our kitchen is the one room that feels the most like home, we have dishes, silverware, and food.
 Our bed for the week.
Tim and his mom and dad moved our basement furniture a couple of weeks ago, so this is where we spend most of our time, it still needs some organization, but it works.
Leah says, "What about my room?"
Leah's room is almost all put together, but it deserves it's own special post, so stay tuned.
