Pumpkin Patch 2014

While my parents were in town for Leah's birthday, we planned a day at Eckert's.  It was a perfect fall day full of apple and pumpkin picking. We managed to get there early, so the crowds weren't too bad.
First up, the underground slide, even Papa Greg got a turn.

We managed to get in on the last weekend of apple picking and I'm so glad we did, those apples were good!

After apple picking, we went on the hunt for the perfect pumpkin.

Leah was more into picking the flowers than the pumpkins.
Ella tagged along and slept most of the time in the Ergo.
Leah of course got in on the rides.  Tim and Leah also went through the Cardinal shaped corn maze, Ella and I passed and spent the time in the car so Ella could eat.

We're so thankful for fun fall days and for spending time with Grandma Debbie and Papa Greg.

Grandma Debbie and Papa Greg Visit

A couple of weeks ago, my parents came for a visit.  It was great to see them and Leah had been looking forward to their visit for weeks.  We didn't have many plans for the weekend, but it sure seemed to fly by, as it always does when they're here.  On Sunday after church, we headed downtown to check out the Cardinals' new Ballpark Village.  I managed to fail at taking pictures over the weekend, except for our visit to Ballpark Village.
One of the great things about Ballpark Village is it's views of Busch Stadium.  This is from the Budweiser Brewhaus, were you can buy tickets to watch the game.

After checking out Ballpark Village, we headed to the Team Store while we were waiting to eat at the Cardinals Nation Restaurant.

This year is St. Louis' 250th Birthday and these cakes are placed all over the city, I might just see how many of them we can find.

Lunch at Cardinals Nation, photo credit thanks to Leah.

After naps, we headed outside for rides in the new wagon.
Thanks Grandma Debbie and Papa Greg for coming to visit!  Maybe next time you visit we'll have a new addition!
